Product Description
Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with RangeBooster is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect Wireless-G, Wireless-B, and other RangeBooster devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share resources and a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. RangeBooster technology is a compatible add-on to standard Wireless-G which increases your wireless network's range up to two times, and its throughput by up to 35%. Unlike ordinary wireless technologies that are confused by signal reflections, RangeBooster uses two smart receivers at each end to detect and decode reflected signals at distances where standard technologies give up. You'll find that "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area are reduced, too. Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA) protects your data and privacy with up to 128-bit industrial-strength encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility. With the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with RangeBooster at the of your home or office network, you can share a high-speed Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games at twice the distance!Similar Products

For those that had trouble with VPN, in particular with the router not passing GRE protocol, ask the chat support, they sent me a new firmware (1.11) that solved the problems.

Could not figure out this router. At my fiancee's house this thing would lock up the internet connection for all wired users but be ok only on the wireless. Would have to pull the plug to get the internet back but then would lock up after only a few minutes again. Tried all the tricks I found on the internet, but still crashed. Put a Netgear in it's place which works perfectly. What's odd is it works fine in my house with both wireless and wired connections. Deducted couple of stars for this odd behavior, but again in my house it works just fine as did my previous Linksys wired broadband router. The browser interface is workabe but now that I've seen the Netgear, feel the Netgear's browser interface is a little more friendly and polished.

This works exactly how it should... I went from having a poor connection to having an excellent connection with the RangeBooster.

The router works fine. I set up 2 laptops, one with Windows XP and the other with Vista. I called Linksys for help in securing the network and they were excellent walking me through the process.

Don't buy this router. I purchased this router because I wanted the latest technology, and it looked "cooler" than the other router designs.
The router works great with my wired desktop, and new Dell wireless laptop. The speed is incredible. However, when you try to connect more than 1 wireless laptop, that has an older wireless adapter, you will have problems connecting. The laptops will hang at "acquiring network address". If you turn on both laptops, then things will connect.
Please visit the linksys website, and do a search for "WRT54GR"...you will see what I am talking about.
